    Walk-ins and emergencies any time, including 8:30 pm to 11:00 pm daily
    Please call ahead for walk-in emergencies if you can! Please also note that we are not staffed overnight so complex evening emergencies are likely to be referred to a local 24-hour hospital (REACH, Western, or Haywood County). Even if it is likely we will refer you elsewhere we are available to triage the case, establish preliminary diagnostics, stabilize when appropriate or possible, and make sure your records and history are made available to the emergency hospital.

  • Appointments

    Appointments can be made during business hours by calling (828) 298-1678.
    You can request appointments through the Pet Portal but unless you receive an email confirming that time you should not consider it booked. In practice, as we tend to book up quickly, making an appointment "the traditional way" (by phone!) is usually the easiest option.

    In the future we expect to add better online support for appointments and perhaps even text-based or app-based possibilities. Please ask our receptionist to double check your landline and mobile numbers and make sure we have them in the correct place in our system. Adding your email address will also help (plus you may get coupons or offers) and we promise not to share it with anyone beyond our vendors (for coupons but not marketing).

    We are located in East Asheville at 1007 Tunnel Road. We're the yellow and purple building opposite Pomodoro's restaurant, just East of the SONIC drive-through and a little West of the VA Hospital.
