(888) 426-4435. If you think your animal has eaten something poisonous and we are not available, call one of the Emergency Hospitals (listed in our links) or call this number directly. The ASPCA poison center does have a $65 consultation fee, but it is often well worth it!

WCVS is a referral animal hospital in Arden, NC specializing in orthopedic, neuro, and soft-tissue surgery. Dr. David Crouch is a fantastic surgeon to whom we have referred numerous clients and who we have trusted to perform challenging surgeries on our own animals.

Hopkins Belize Humane Society
This small humane society provides low cost or free spay and neuter services, medicine, and flea and tick preventatives in Hopkins and surrounding towns. Dr. Sinclair (and Bob) spent a week at Hopkins in the fall of 2014 doing spays and neuters and some emergency surgeries.

EquiSeq
EquiSeq is an equine DNA diagnostics start-up co-founded by Dr. Bob Sinclair and his colleague Dr. Paul Szauter. The company is involved in discovery of genetic variation that causes disease in horses and the production of commercially available diagnostic tests to help owners understand the nature of their horses' illness and to provide breeders with the tools to start eliminating these problems from the horse population. Dr. Heather Sinclair is on Equiseq's scientific advisory board.
