2017 Labor Day benefit for Furever Friends adn the animal victims of Hurricane Harvey.
Shortly after the Sinclairs started at Haw Creek Animal Hospital in 2005 hurricane Katrina made landfall in New Orleans. The hospital had previously been closed on Labor Day, but Dr. Sinclair decided to stay open and to donate the day's income to Noah's Wish, an organization that specialized in helping animals after natural disasters. A tradition was born and every year since 2005, Haw Creek Animal Hospital has opened on Labor Day and donated the majority of the day's income to an animal-related charity.
2017 marks the 13th Labor Day benefit. We had decided some while ago that this year's benefit would be to support Furever Friends, a local animal rescue. However, with the devastation Harvey has caused in Houston, we have concluded that while we will continue with the benefit for Furever Friends, we will donate an equivalent sum to help the animals in Houston.
Haw Creek Animal Hospital will be open normal hours (8am to 11pm) on September 4; Dr Sinclair will be there during the day and Dr. Pruitt will be there in the evening. So come on in, check out the new artwork and fresh paint, and help us make this a successful fundraiser once again!
